Gene editing works a bit like word processing, where you can take some words out and add others in — but you are capable of do it with genes. Gene editing can be used to right DNA mutations, clear up the issue of meals allergies, enhance the well being of crops, or even edit human traits like eye and hair color. CRISPR-Cas9 has been round for a few years, but in 2023 we’ll see gene enhancing technology speed up to give us the increasing capability to “edit nature” by altering DNA. For example, Formula 1 groups currently gather knowledge transmitted from sensors throughout races, in addition to race observe temperatures and weather conditions, to see how cars change throughout races.
